5 or 6 i was not sure about it. It is not a bad rum but it is defi etely not on the must have side for me.

If i catch it on a good sale i will buy again but above $20 i've tried better rums.

Nose: oakiness and alcohol smell is very noticable.
Taste: i know it will sound weird but it is a dry rum but it is sweeter than expected with honey caramel flavors.
Tried both sipping and mixing same confusing results. Did not get best out of it.
But you may like it

It's a average rum for me, no real distinguishable taste. Kind of a mixture of flavour.

The nose is sweet and seedy and smells quite pleasant.

Not a sipping rum, had with ginger ale and it was OK.

For the price it's OK.

Most probably would not buy again

Well priced decent everyday rum, works great in mixes, but can be siped as well

barva zlatavá
- vůně velmi příjemná, citrusová, citrón, pomeranč, grep, vanilka
- chuť nasládlá, jemná, koření, citrusová, hlavně pomeranč
Poměr cena/výkon velmi příjemný

Tasted at Laka Lono on 10/23/18. Light brown/red in color. Oxidized aroma. Sweet butterscotch. Horrible burn going down. Harsh. Ouch. Joseph Conrad put it best: "The Horror."

Alcoholic, not many developed flavours. Slightly coco nutty. Meh.

Světlejší rum s s příjemnou chutí a vůni. Jde o moje první ochutnání této značky a rozhodně ochutnám i starší kusy.

($30CAD) I wanted to have a mixing option for some cocktails and also wanted to try this neat as the Angostura 7 year was delicious.

On its own, the 5 year smells strongly of alcohol but a bit fruity as well. Lots of that Angostura aroma too, which is slowly becoming one of my favourites.
Taste is definitely a bit sharper than the 7 but also a bit lighter with some tropical fruit and citrus notes dominating the tongue. It’s light and crisp with an ok finish.

I wish I had some English Harbour 5 year to compare with. Both are around the same price and in my opinion, would share the same purpose. Will get by as a neat sipper, and you won’t be afraid to throw it in a cocktail too.
Now it’s time to go up in age through the Angostura options.
