The Duppy Share Caribbean rum is produced using a combination of 3-year Jamaican and 5-year Barbados rums. Both are aged in bourbon barrels and brought to London for bottling.
The name 'Duppy Share' comes from Caribbean folklore where the dark spirit 'duppies' take their share of rum from distilleries, similar to the traditional term 'angel’s share' when rum is lost due to evaporation during the aging process.

V prípade hodnoteného Caribbean Aged ide o blend pomerne krátko stareného jamajského a barbadoského rumu, fľašou príliš nezaujme. Farba je dosť svetlá, vôňa dáva tušiť dochucovanie, okrem tropického ovocia presakuje škorica a iné korenia, pri silnejšom nádychu zaštípe alkohol. Chuť je nasládla, s dominanciou vanilky a karamelu, znova s ostrejšou dochuťou liehu. Záver fádny a nahorklý. Ničím výnimočný druh, ďalšiu fľašu rozhodne kupovať nebudem, tento drink hádžem do jedného vreca s Havana Club 7Y a Espero Reserva Exclusiva, teda k rumom skôr vhodnejším do mixu s colou. Na gurmánske popíjanie určite nevhodný, subjektívny rating silnejších 5.

Mixture 3yo and 5yo rums, bourbon barrels.
Color:caramel
Nose:extraordinary,artificial
Body:artificial, strong alcohol,no-way to drink it straight up
Bottle:pharmacy like,etiquette pop-art
Tail:short,alcohol
It's been a while I drunk such a "bad" rum...I could not finish even the one shot...Too artificial, too alcohol taste.
However I like the bottle and etiquette, reminds me pop-art style.
I Found so many nicer rums is this price category.
Sweet. Not a lot else going on. Not terrible, but definitely not good.
I can't decide of this smells of old sock sod Christmas cake.. taste wise it's pleasant enough but has a hard edge to it
Now I've got your attention with the title you'll have to take this review with a massive pinch of salt. I've tried this rum once with coke in a pub but safe to say I won't be having it again in a hurry. It was all going well and I had heard good things and paid a pretty penny for my drink. On first sip it was intresting but had a bit of an aftertaste I couldn't put my finger on. That was until to my friend had a try and said it tastes like the plastic bit you blow into to inflate things like armbands/ water wings , lilos or anything that you normally throw into a pool (yes you can throw lids provided you've given them some floaties) and that unfortunately ruined every other sip I had till I finished the drink. It now may do the same for you so I definitely recommend trying before you get buying
Espeically at around 30 quid a bottle
This is not a pleasant drink to drink straight, paid £26 and can not justify the price. Havana club no 7 is £20 and 10 times the drink this is
Funky label should serve as warning. I guess producers are trying to replicate ‘gin success’ but forgot that rum is completely different game.
Smell strongly of artificial vanilla and alcohol, taste is overpowered by alcohol with more artificial vanilla and aftertaste is plain burning alcohol. I have no problem with strong alcohol aftertaste but there must be some substance in it. Ok as a mixer I guess but definitely not a sipper. For less money here in the UK you can get decent 5 year old Flor de Caña as a mixer so don’t get fooled by that label.
'...you can’t fail to notice the design of bottle and its fab artwork.'

Nose is sweet but carries just enough of the Jamaican “funk”.
"This rum is the very epitomy of easy drinking. It slips down beautifully. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Colour- caramel with light honey flashes
Taste- slightly plastic taste at first and then buttery caramel
Uses- a ok mixer
It's not undrinkable but it just misses something if you want to make a nice cocktail it's fine, if a friend comes round and says oh runs ok but I always have it with coke then give it them, and they will be happy but I wouldn't choose to have it straight.
