The Duppy Share Caribbean rum is produced using a combination of 3-year Jamaican and 5-year Barbados rums. Both are aged in bourbon barrels and brought to London for bottling.
The name 'Duppy Share' comes from Caribbean folklore where the dark spirit 'duppies' take their share of rum from distilleries, similar to the traditional term 'angel’s share' when rum is lost due to evaporation during the aging process.

Normal tasting, not sharp, not salty, easy. After 2 glasses it made the inside of my top lip tingle. At home 30 April 2017
It's not great, certainly wouldn't recommend it straight and almost always overpriced due to popularity that seems to be gained with a big marketing budget rather than being a good product.
This was bought locally in UK and the bottle promised a lot. Unfortunately nowhere near a sipping run for me (admittedly not sure it's meant to be a sipping rum but was very expensive if it was). As 007 would say... this is "indifferently blended" !! (Ok that was a line about a brandy but you get my point!).
Tried it at RumFest the past couple of years - I must have been a bit deep both times because it's not nearly as good as I remember.
Smells fruity but if left in the glass the aroma gets overwhelmed by the odor of fusel oils.
Decent taste of raisins and other dried fruits.
Won't be reaching for it straight again any time soon. Think I'll try the punch recipe it came with, I think that was pretty good when I tried it last.
The bottle looks fun, with an enticing story on the label but the contents disappoint. The blend just doesn't work. It smells like rum flavour liqueur and the taste is forgettable. Mix it to enjoy but neat it's nothing special unfortunately.
Very, very mild, no depth of flavour at all, just a generic weak rum taste with very little aroma. It is not a bad rum, but way overpriced for what you get. There are Rums ( e.g. Plantation, Barcelo ), in the same price range that wipe the floor with it.
Surprinzător de fin la prețul ăsta, ușoare arome de migdale sau marțipan, dulce..
OK with mixer, but does not compare with havana 7.
'...you can’t fail to notice the design of bottle and its fab artwork.'

Nose is sweet but carries just enough of the Jamaican “funk”.
"This rum is the very epitomy of easy drinking. It slips down beautifully. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Ok but not my favourite so far. Easy drinking, smooth with a mixer.
