The Duppy Share Caribbean rum is produced using a combination of 3-year Jamaican and 5-year Barbados rums. Both are aged in bourbon barrels and brought to London for bottling.
The name 'Duppy Share' comes from Caribbean folklore where the dark spirit 'duppies' take their share of rum from distilleries, similar to the traditional term 'angel’s share' when rum is lost due to evaporation during the aging process.

With this Ron there is nothing to complain about.
Fruity light in the nose.
In the palate delicious, pleasant sweetness, dark chocolate with chili, sharp!
The finish retains the sweetness and sharpness .

As said in the title, plus you get a nice nosing experience, full aroma, caramel sweet taste... but once you swallow it turns out quite unpleasant, then it warms you a bit.
I would expect something more for a 15-year old rum.

Beautiful amber color, this rum is typical of Guatemala with notes of molasses, brown sugar, caramel. Notes of chocolate, coffee and fruit like prune. On the palate, pastry flavors are very present with always chocolate, vanilla and spices like cinnamon. The vanilla is always present at the end of the mouth with the spices and the wood that arrives later.

I didn't looked forward tasting 15yo after I tasted 10yo. I feared which way the ageing process went. And I can now say, the right way. The smell transformed into something smooth, sweet, you can perfectly distinct the difference between molasses and juice product. The taste is neat. Sweet, but with right amount of burn to make it interesting. Less chocolate, more vanilla, also some fruity tones. The burn in mouth is very decent and pleasant. Unlike 10yo, this is fine sipper. I would enjoy something less sweet, but 15yo is very well balanced I don't even mind.

First off,,I like my rums on the sweet side. In this case the Malteco 15y is just a bit to sweet. On the other side there is nothing wrong with it especially considering It's price (24 euros)
A nice dark colour, smooth with a perfect little burn, all in all satisfying!!

Nose is sweet but carries just enough of the Jamaican “funk”.
"This rum is the very epitomy of easy drinking. It slips down beautifully. ."
'...you can’t fail to notice the design of bottle and its fab artwork.'

I prefer 10Y version which is not too sweet and for better price, but good one.
