Malecon 21-Year

Another exceptional Malecon Rum .
Not Much difference to the 18 year old but still a fabulous rum and one of my Faves . Special Occasion tipple

Tasted against malecon's 15, 18 and 25 year old and the consensus was this was the best.

Toffee, vanilla, chocolate and tobacco. What can I say more than this is a very good rum.

This is one for the poker nights! Its strong but sweet enough to balance it out. There is sense of tobacco and oak to the aroma which makes this one perfect for sharing with your friends over a card game!

A nice toffee on the nose.
Notes of chocolate, coffee and vanilla with slight tobacco.
Long nice sherry finish...

This is one to have in the cabinet for a little sip. Nothing special about the bottle, dark in colour, a little fire and lots of flavour. I will buy when the cabinet is low.

Geruch ein wenig nach Tabak, ein wenig Vanille, getrocknete Pflaumen, angenehm.
Geschmack Schokolade, ein wenig Süße, nicht sehr ausgeprägt (zum Glück), Rosinen, getrocknete Früchte und im Abgang ein wenig salzig, mit getrockneten Früchten, Feige und ein wenig Holz, herbe.....

Alles in allem ein sehr guter Rum, ein rundes Paket und das erwarte ich auch bei dem Preis.

Im Vergleich zum 18 Jahre alten ein wenig andere Geruch- und Geschmachsrichtungen. Ein wenig runder im Geschmack.
Aber kein sehr großer Unterschied. Preis/Leistung spricht eher für den 18 Jahre alten.

Habe ihn noch gegen den Flor de Cana 18Jahre verkostet, einer meiner Favoriten bis Jetzt, besteht der Malecon 21 Jahre ohne Probleme, absolut kein Problem, unterschiedlich in ihrer Art, aber jeder für sich sehr gut ! Aber auch der 18 Jahre alte Malecon fällt nicht ab ;-) Top Rums !!!

Einzig der Preis ist der große Unterschied, der Malecon 21 Jahre kostet um einiges mehr als die anderen.....

Aber nichts desto trotz, ein sehr guter Rum, der sein Geld Wert ist und einen Platz in meiner Sammlung hat und nachgekauft wird.

Never hearing of Malecon before, I scored a bottle from Rum Auctioneer in the UK. Very pleasantly surprised very smooth dark amber rum with slight sweet toffee notes followed up by cinnamon and nutmeg. This is a very good rum and value. Bottle and packaging is not impressive but if that keeps the cost down it’s a good thing. Can’t say anything bad about Malecon 21.I’m sorry tasting this again with far superior rums has to go down a notch.

This is deep and luscious rum. This has more bite than the 18. I like the 18 better but this is some very fine rum also. Oak, vanilla, sultana, cinnamon. Even a note of apple at the finish. Creamy, smooth and packs a punch. Nice long warm finish. Very warm. I have enjoyed every single rum produced by Malecon. Every one is first rate, top shelf. A very fine distillery. BRAVO!

Chuť: V chuti vyzrálý, decentně nasládlý, uhlazený. V dochuti rozinky a mléčná čokoláda
Shrnutí: příjemný vyzrálý rum, na kterém jsem si pochutnal a zlepšil chuť.
Určitě malecon jedna z pblíbených značek
