Was my go to cheaper white rum until it was no longer carried near me.

Enjoyed a bottle of Olo Silver Rum while vacationing in Las Vegas. Unique bottle and label design. Pure alcohol to the nose and palate. Strong burn at the end being so dry. Mix this up with your favorite soda.

Since cachaça is a sugar cane base rum I decided to pick it up, cheap (under $15 US for 750ml).
Looking for a decent replacement for Cane Run Estate, tasted side by side.
Not my cup of tea, would be surprised if all cachaça taste this way.
Tasted somewhat similar to the Cane Run but had a distinctive earthy taste to it, like dirt.

Better than many rhum Agricole. Smooth and mild grassy and vanilla notes

Much better than you typical white rum. I tast pot distillation, a good mixer, would not be bad if you wanted a shot.

I'm stuffed up so my write up gonna be bleh on this one. But that's not the correct bottle I have it pic'ed.
High 7 Low 8.
Olo was 9$ for 750ml @ 80 proof so at worst its a great mixer. I have no Idea about this rum at all but I cant go wrong with 9$. Pop the cork off and yes it is corked. It smells odd from other whites, vanilla oak of course but I smell something grassy there. In the sniffing glass its like a huge amount of alcohol (that actually doesnt burn the nose) and some grassy smells. Drinking it straight it enters smooth to my surprise and then blasts you with too much heat that causes a sting. Which stops quick. But not the nicest feeling. Its a oily feeling through out the sip, nothing complicated to it. A vanilla touch with some oak and something else in there that causes it to coat your mouth in a type of oily feel. In diet coke its honestly really really good. The heat is all gone it keeps the vanilla and the full mouth feel stays. Very happy with this purchase, it will now be my white staple.
