The Plantation 2011 Single Cask Barbados Oloroso Finish 10-Year is a premium aged rum that boasts a smooth and complex flavor profile. It is made from the finest Barbados sugarcane and aged in oak barrels for ten years, then finished in barrels previously used to mature oloroso sherry. This finishing process lends an alluring depth to the rum, imbuing it with rich notes of dried fruits, caramel, and baking spices. Its deep amber color is enticing and indicative of its full-bodied character. Overall, the Plantation 2011 Single Cask Barbados Oloroso Finish 10-Year is a well-balanced and sophisticated rum that is perfect for sipping neat or in a cocktail.

Aroma is very gentle with vanilla, coconut, caramel.
Taste smooth with oak, vanilla, leather and honey tones, but not as sweet as you would expect from aroma. You can detect the Oloroso mostly during the first few seconds. Aftertaste is pleasant with coconut and a bit of pepper, but could be longer. The price (50Eur in CZ) is very good.

There is better for price 5 out of 10
Tastes of peat, funk and way too much char. Definitely taste the boubon but thats not a good thing, as its way too strong. The sherry finish is welcome but drowned out by bourbon frontend. Nowhere near the refinement of Panamanian rums with similar cask finish. Overall its a let down for the price especially as it tastes of tobacco and too much burnt wood.
