Un ron elegante y suave, afrutado y aromático con largo final. Muy difícil de conseguir aún en el mismo Cuba.
Very smooth, fills your mouth with honey and apple compote. Finish is long, dry and oaky.
Waw !
Bravo !
Deep amber color. Notable molasses nose. Complex. Intense. A touch too bitter. Half step above Havana Club Maestros.
Solid nice rum, and gave me a good headache afterward. On the sweeter side of the pallet.
Nose is strong yet has some dried plum quality to it if you are careful. Taste is not sweet at all and has a pleasant and long lasting vanilla and smoke dried plum aftertaste with a moderate numbing sting in the end.
I would say that this is a transitional option between a good and excellent rum. Good for drinking neat.
I only had a single pour and not much time to reflect. The flavor profile is overall one of fruity distillation. I get distinct cognac flavors. There's a long finish but it's very soft and mild. I get lots of butterscotch and some green vegetable flavors too. This is just a very nice rum and I'd be happy to have a bottle to enjoy...
I’ve had mixed luck with Cuban rums. Either they’ve been really nice or more on the disappointing side.
On the nose you get the standard tobacco but also raisins and cinnamon. The first taste is a strong woodsy taste but gives way to fruit and maple.
I rather enjoyed this one.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Today on stage : SANTIAGO DE CUBA 11 years - 40 % ABV - no added sugar
Heard a lot about Cubanian Rums in the past andf this will be my first experience with a neat sipping Cubanian Rum.
Nose : nuts, caramel ... hmm, nothing else. Pleasant but also boring. Superficially, not deep.
Palate : chocolate, slightly sweet and spicy, a fruity note is added. Orange ? Orange peel ? Yes, and apricot. Oily mouthfeel but nevertheless light. Slight alcohol notes. All in all pleasant and good drinkable.
Finish : medium, sweet caramel, maple syrup, well integrated minimal sharpness
Conclusion : all in all a pleasant and well succeeded rum for newcomers.
Similar to Zacapa 23, but not sweetened and cheeper than the Zacapa.
Nothing extraordinary, but tasteful.
Not deep but sweet without added sugar.
Really good price/performance ratio. Between 7 and 8 points but more toward 7.
