Dry and woody, but it has something interesting and complex that is hard to describe, as is mentioned in other reviews.
Incredibly smooth, great taste, aroma is wonderful as well!
Bought this one in a hurry at Mallorca airport. Had already a bottle of it, but hadn't opened it.
First impressions nice rum not to sweet, which I can appreciate.
I prefer more spiced rum, despite this is always stocked in the house for its smoothness and flavor. Its sweet with some oak flavor
So, I picked this up seeing it was in the proper price range. I've had many others in the same price range that surpass this by miles. But, I've also had many that this surpasses by miles. Average run of the mill in my book. Smooth but kind of boring to be honest. I'm glad I tried it but will not be returning seeing how vast the rum world is. The vastness alone is how I came here. The journey continues! Thanks Brugal!
Good taste and strong presence. This is one of my favorite rums from Brugal and compare with other brands for the same price it has to be on the top 3.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Was not a fan when I first tried this. It’s very dry and oaky, albeit smooth. Upon a second and third tasting it grew on me quite a bit. If you don’t like sweet rum this is definitely one to consider. I don’t think I’ll rush back to buy it again, but I don’t feel bad about the purchase either.
Update: upgrading rating from 6 to 8. I went from not loving it to it being one of the first rums I reach for when I want a neat pour. As I said before, not the best choice of you prefer sweeter rums, but the finishing in sherry casks gives it a unique flavor profile.
