Beenleigh XO Rare

A limited run of 3000 bottles this is a combination of pot an column still rums from 2014 15 16 matured in ex American oak bourbon casks and ex Australian brandy casks.The rum itself is fantastic with a toffee caramel honeyed flavour with sweet dried fruit tones and a nice smooth finish even though it does come in at 46%abv and there is no added sugar.At around $130 to $150 aud a bottle it is a little expensive but it is definitely worth it

I am really enjoying this one, lovely depth and a nice abv of 46%. I can’t really smell so let me say that it’s pleasant but the taste is great, some butterscotch and dates, a little wood and vanilla - I will certainly buy again..
