This is a rebranded Ron De Jeremy Reserva rum without the picture of a famous American porn actor who was convicted of sexual harassment and the owner of the rum turned him away.
It is a blend of up to eight-year-old rums from Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica and Guyana, prepared by the well-known master blender Don Pancho Fernandez. The blend was aged in bourbon barrels. The rum was bottled at the classic strength of 40%.
Colour: Gold
Bottle: Quite nice and closed with a big cork stopper.
Nose: Rather less noticeable. I smelled vanilla, nuts, sweet almonds and some burnt oak.
Palate: Sweet and quite weak. There's vanilla, oak wood, chocolate .... and nothing else to make the rum interesting to me.
Finish: Rather shorter.
This is an easily forgettable rum that doesn't offend, but doesn't significantly impress either. I would probably compare it to El Comandante Reserva Exclusiva in terms of quality.
