Sweet on the nose and rich on the palate. Notes of dark brown sugar and figs lead to a long and slightly dry finish.
Great nose caramel smoothness, but peppery finish, dr. Pepper? And kick makes it hard to sip
Smooth sipper. Nice deep coloring, light on the nose. Sweet and citrusy flavors. Smooth finish.
Found this brand new rum to me from a local Mexican restaurant here in San Antonio TX. Ron Inmortal has a unique bottle and label design. Dark mahogany color. I tried it neat and got plenty of vanilla and butterscotch to my taste buds. Didn't try with an ice cube, so hard to say if the flavor profile would have changed a lot. Surprised how dry it is for a Colombian rum, but a solid 8 nonetheless.

What a pleasant surprise! 8 out of 10
This rum recently arrived to Total Wine and I ignored it for the bottle that looked like nothing more than another gimmick. I finally took a chance on it and did not even notice the tacky brass ring around the neck until I opened it.
Upon taking the first sip, I would rate it as a high 8. The stated notes on the bottle are French vanilla and citrus, but the neat taste is actually much more complex than that. Don't ask me about specific notes as I am terrible with those. At only 80 proof, this very smooth rum needs nothing more. Adding water or ice cubes ruins those great flavors. This one is a smooth neat sipper only and it is supposedly bone dry with no additives. And to boot, it is only $45 US.
And for newbies, I cannot think of a better rum to begin appreciating the wonders of sipping rum neat. It also wound up being in my top ten recommended rum purchases. Ignore the tacky bottle and you will bid the Captain and bottom shelf Bacardi farewell for good!!!.
About two weeks later, I picked up my second bottle. This time, I sipped it on the rocks. Whoah! What is that strange finish? Keep trying! It's butterscotch!
