Great Guyana- and good Enmore Rum

This Guyana rum from the independent bottler Rum Nation is an Enmore rum with the mark KFM, which was produced in 2002 using the pot style process and was allowed to store in ex bourbon barrels for 14 years. The single cask was bottled at cask strength with 56.8% alcohol without additives or coloring as a limited edition with 442 bottles.
This Enmore Rum has a great nose, which invites you to extensive nosing. In addition to the classic dried plum, there is a fresh citrus fruit with orange peel and a light medicinal note. Add fresh herbs and a bit of anise. Here the rum is very convincing, as the light nose has a good complexity. On the palate, the rum is initially spicy and then medicinal again, to slightly metallic. There comes a beautiful herb garden with some liquorice. The rum becomes sweeter and softer but retains its spicy, slightly peppery note. The wood has a nice share here. The finish is woody, dry and again somewhat medicinal. Depending on the form of the day, there is also some menthol.
A beautiful rum, also very suitable as an introduction to the cask strength Guyana rum world, as it brings many typical notes without being overwhelming. A flavorful easy sipper. The nose is fantastic, on the palate the rum somehow runs out of air and everything seems a bit unspectacular. A great Guyana rum and a good Enmore.

Dieser Enmore Rum hat eine tolle Nase, welche zum ausführlichen Nosing einläd. Neben der klassischen Dörpflaume findet sich hier eine frische Zitrusfrucht mit Orangenschale und einer leichten medizinischen Note. Dazu frische Kräuter und auch ein wenig Anis. Hier überzeugt der Rum sehr, da die leichte Nase eine gute Komplexität aufweißt. Am Gaumen zeigt der Rum sich erst würzig und wieder medizinisch, bis leicht metallisch. Es kommt ein schöner Kräuter Garten mit etwas Lakritze. Der Rum wird süßer und weicher behält aber seine würzige, leicht pfeffrige Note. Das Holz hat hier einen schönen Anteil. Der Abgang holzig, trocken und wieder etwas medizinisch. Je nach Tagesform kommt hier auch etwas Menthol mit.
Ein schöner Rum, auch als Einstieg in die Fassstärke Guyana Rum Welt sehr gut geeignet, da er viele typische Noten mitbringt ohne zu überwältigen. Ein würziger Easy Sipper. Die Nase ist fantastisch, am Gaumen geht dem Rum dann irgendwie etwas die Luft aus und es wirkt alles etwas unspektakulär. Ein toller Guyana Rum und ein guter Enmore.
