Fine rum. Nothing really special about it. If rather have tons of other unaged Jamaicans instead

The most expressive molasses-based white rum I've tasted so far, along with the Hampden LROK... The complexity is just insane ! Acquired taste but dam, it is unusually rich ! Dozens of flavours reeks out, from almonds to gentian, gherkins to hibiscus, with something like soot and mustard... and the usual fresh glue... Frangipane, Fisherman's Friend and truffles. With roots of many kinds. It even brings Roquefort at some point. Never stops bringing new flavours. Masterpiece from Rum Nation !

Lot of esters, spiced rich rum. Something like fruit spirit

Nose: firstly you feel acetat and chemical, later you feel smth different. Im not a fan of white rums but this one is bot bad.
Taste: wood, even old wood. Strong enough but not very bad. Im have very subjective opinion but it is good enough for white rum

Am enjoying straight with a few drops of water like a good whisky :)
Vibrant fruity with some funky Agricole notes - over ripe banana tropical fruits
Loving it ... okay the bottle was 6 months half empty in the cellar and has improved
I should mention I am more often in summer into distillate driven spirits
and this I rate as top class - for me better than most whiskies out there

Aroma is on the agricole side. Taste is bitter-sweet with wood and pepper tones. Aftertaste is complex and fruity sweet but very short. Taste reminding me grappa. Need some time to breath. Not so much burning as you would expect feom 57%. Can be ideal for mixing.

Cask strength at 57 % ABV, pot still Jamaican white rum, with lots of esters.

Nose is surprisingly stringent. Did not open up after twenty minutes in the glass, nor with a few drops of water. Rubber, grass, some overripe banana.

Palate is rich, but again I was slightly disappointed with how little this rum opened up, still a touch more grass and rubber than fruit, and a bit dominated by faint, but unmistakable flavours of wild yeasts you would recognise in a Lambic beer for example. This is, by all means, a great pot still rum, and many love that tight, sour grassiness. But I personally find there is a bit insufficient amounts of the fruity, ester-driven aromas that would lift it above the 7-mark. Compared to others in the same category I have had, it remains a bit tight.

Aftertaste: Faint tropical fruits, cottonsedge. Quite long and pleasant.
