Worthy Park Select
Duft: sød frugt, vanilje, fad
Smag: frugt, ikke værst af en pot stills, men er lidt tynd i smagen.
Point: 5

Mild and smooth with no burn. Somewhat fruity, pear flavour with molasses with an obvious influence of whiskey from the ex-bourbon casks. End result is a mix of rum and whiskey profiles. Mild short finish of sweet toffee
This Jamaican rum is a blend of copper pot distilled molasses based rums that have been aged between 4 and 12 years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels.
In the nose mild vanilla dominates but also with notes of tropical fruits, banana, orange and cinnamon.
At the palate it has a certain sweetness with hints of chocolate, oak, peach and caramel.
The finish is medium long.
Overall an OK Jamaican rum but that lacks the expected funkiness, probably because of the low ABV.

Nos je typicky worty: med, drevo, banan. Chut totez. Pomer ceny kvality fajn. Je to celkem ridke, dobry chlastaci rum.
Prominent rum oil aroma is always appreciated, and this certainly has it. There is also light pineapple and earthy, phenolic hogo. Some solvent notes come across on the palate, which clashes a bit with the otherwise pleasant taste. It's a light marque, great for mixing cocktails.

Typical jamaican funky aroma. First taste is very light and weak, almost watery. After comes slight burning and first funky tones, but again very light and uncomplex, ending in short aftertaste

and a spectacular entry leaving me wondering about the rest of the brand. I was surprised how mild it was. Very smooth with forward notes of whisky or bourbon barrels it was matured in. this has to be the best tasting younger blends I've enjoyed. Better than Chairman's Forgotten Cask!
