Middle rum, nothing special. Stronger rum

Only tried a miniature bottle, but forgettable is the word that springs to mind. Tried a few of these Canary rums, this was the least impressive.

This is a decent purchase. Frankly, it has not got the depth of flavour of the 18. I’d buy and drink the18 every time, but this is a good rum.

Not so bad taste till you try Arehucas 18. Wood, vanilla.

The nose is alarmingly sweet, toffee, butter and dried fruits, on the palate it is quite sweet and simple toffee-candy-like experience, dried fruits - mainly raisins, sweet finish of dried fruits. And when you think the experience is over, there is actually quite some alcohol afterburn which comes with some 10-15 seconds delay. The added sugar is quite prominent on the nose, in the taste and in the aftertaste also, around 50gpl at least, the taste is ridiculously simple and quite un-rummy. For a price slightly higher that Doorly 8y, sorry, the score cannot be high. The review is based on 50ml sample. Would not buy the whole bottle, even for a cheaper price.

I love Canary Islands, but this rum .... only not bad

Unidentified wooden aroma, Spanish style but nothing to write home about. No sugar.

Rum by měl zrát 12 let v sudech z amer. bílého dubu.

Aroma: Skořice, pikantní koření, leštěnka na nábytek, závan levandule (skoro jako mýdlo).
Chuť: Lehce kořenitá, jemná, ale dosti nevýrazná.
Dozvuk: Nevýrazný, trocha rozinek a pak jen nahořklost.
Sladkost: 0/3
Celá lahev
Rum je v pohodě pitelný, není na něm nic vyloženě špatného. Ale je HROZNĚ nevýrazný, mdlý a nudný. Kromě vůně nic nenabídne. Těžký průměr.
