In der Nase, Beng, Beng, High Ester Düfte die das Hirn wegfegen. Zu beginn messerscharfe Klebstoffdüfte, ätzendes Abbeizmittel und ein kräftiger Schuss Funk, wow, sehr heftig also warten..... warten....... warten....... warten...... noch länger warten..... und nochmals warten.... und jetzt passiert's..... ein Zuckerrohrsamen spriesst und wächst zu einer stattlichen Pflanze heran, wird geschnitten und gepresst, ah welch süsser, grasiger Saft. Tropische Früchte und frisch aufgeschnittene Vanilleschoten auf süssem Marzipan, gebrannte Mandeln und Blumen zieren das Ganze. Lakritze ist auch da, Gewürze und etwas Salz erzeugen einen umami Touch.
Am Gaumen eine nicht endende Flut von Aromen. Jetzt kommen auch die frischen, grasig grünen Agricole Noten heraus, mmm zuckersüss (dieser Rum ist ungezuckert!!) und die 58% Vol. sind absolut geschmeidig. Alle tropischen Früchte die du je im Leben probierst hast, in diesem einem Moment vereint und so konzentriert das dir fast schwindlig wird. Vanilleschoten und Kakaobohnen, beides frisch fermentiert, suchen noch unbesetzte Geschmacksknospen. Medizinartige Kräuter, exotisch anmutende Gewürze und der Funk führen diesen fast unendlichen Reigen der Aromen weiter und weiter und weiter und .... es bleibt noch viel mehr zu entdecken.
Im Abgang der ewig ist, sind Früchte, Vanille und Funk noch extrem lange präsent und alles was du dir wünschst auch.
Ein sehr interessanter und spannender Rum der In der Nase eine Ähnlichkeit mit einem jamaikanischen High Ester Rum hat und erst am Gaumen seine Agricole Herkunft preis gibt. Für Fortgeschrittene, Liebhaber solcher Dinge und Funk Fans.

Crystal clear in the glass.
In the nose, Beng, Beng, High Ester scents that sweep the brain away. At the beginning razor sharp adhesive scents, caustic paint stripper and a strong shot of funk, wow, very violent so wait..... wait....... wait...... wait even longer..... and wait again.... and now it happens..... a sugar cane seed sprouts and grows into a stately plant, is cut and pressed, ah what sweet grassy juice. Tropical fruits and freshly cut vanilla beans on sweet marzipan, roasted almonds and flowers adorn the whole. Licorice is there too, spices and some salt create an umami touch.
On the palate, a never-ending flood of flavors. Now the fresh, grassy green Agricole notes come out as well, mmm sugary sweet (this rum is unsweetened!!) and the 58% abv is absolutely smooth. All the tropical fruits you've ever tasted in your life, combined in this one moment and so concentrated it almost makes you dizzy. Vanilla beans and cocoa beans, both freshly fermented, seek out unoccupied taste buds. Medicine-like herbs, exotic-looking spices and funk lead this almost endless round of flavors on and on and on and .... there is much more left to discover.
In the finish, which is eternal, fruit, vanilla and funk are still present for an extremely long time and everything you could wish for as well.
A very interesting and exciting rum that In the nose has a resemblance to a Jamaican High Ester Rum and only on the palate reveals its Agricole origin. For advanced drinkers, lovers of such things and funk fans.

While I didn't quite fell in love on the first sight, there is something magnetic that brings me back to the game.

Really mellow, sophisticated, strong nose - Mhoba nose - with grassy, piny and some technical tones. Generally good, with no cheap alcohol, slivovitz-like, or just too much cane smell.

The palate is somewhat dry, herbal, ashy, or even conferious (crazy), little on fire (but less than Bushfire). Not super tasty but not bad either. I find it somewhere in the lower middle of their lineup in terms of rum taste quality (palate only).
