Brugal XV reserva is nothing of special, aggressive and not equilibrate rum.
Is better to mix with cola.

So there are some sweet notes to the beginning, but it ends with a whiskey like woodiness and burn. Not the worst I've had, but I'm not leaping for joy at the thought of consuming the whole bottle.

Good for mixing drinks, not a sipping rum in my opinion.

Some complexity. Wood notes present but difficult to push through astringency. Strong ethanol push.

Of course this bottle is easy to drink and smoth, but the problem is it is not much different to the Brugal anjeo, which is just half the price. I really don't understand their portfolio policy. Hence worse grading than their standard bottle.

Nice but without attitude. Good with ice price is correct for the product.

A friend brought this back for me from the D.R. along with a bottle of Macorix 8. Between the 2 I like the Macorix 8 better but this Brugal XV is an enjoyable sipper.

nice sweet caramel and vanilla. it's good enough for sipping, better for cuba libre
