I use the Anejo of Brugal as a mixer, which is great gor that. I bought XV as a sipper but the harsh alcohol taste makes it instantly a rum just for mixing and the Anejo , allthough cheaper is still better for mixing also
So there are some sweet notes to the beginning, but it ends with a whiskey like woodiness and burn. Not the worst I've had, but I'm not leaping for joy at the thought of consuming the whole bottle.
Let this bottle be brought over from the Domenican Republik by a friend. Ordered the 1888, he brought me the XV. Well, if your a sipper, ,,,,don't bother!!!
A fairly bland and unremarkable rum. I would not say that it was a bad rum, but then again compared to most 15 year old rums, I'd probably use that very word. It's kind of off-dry...just a hint of sweetness, but there is very little flavour compared to the best sipping rums.
Very rich in alcohol, but that's about it. No smoothness or details of a richer taste.
I don't like Nothing interesting for me. Just ordinary rum.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Smooth but flat Rum with No magic. Little burn. No complexity. But quite good in Cuba Libre! If you like it in the "Whiskey Coke Style" like I do. Would never waste rum more tasty with coke then that.
