nice sweet caramel and vanilla. it's good enough for sipping, better for cuba libre
A friend brought this back for me from the D.R. along with a bottle of Macorix 8. Between the 2 I like the Macorix 8 better but this Brugal XV is an enjoyable sipper.
Tilltalar mej inte särskilt som avec, som drinkblandare är gör den sej nog bättre.
The XV was a nice surprise to me. Brugal have tried to make a more smooth tasting rum, compared to their normal dry notes, and have done a nice job with this.
Nice but without attitude. Good with ice price is correct for the product.
Only tried it with coke. Nice, but not exceptional.
Of course this bottle is easy to drink and smoth, but the problem is it is not much different to the Brugal anjeo, which is just half the price. I really don't understand their portfolio policy. Hence worse grading than their standard bottle.
I really was surprised, not much alcohol taste, mild, imple but good, maybe a bit boring. You can´t go wrong with it but you want have any wow with it neighter

Decent 6 out of 10
Enjoyed a glass of this on my balcony, on a holliday in punta cana. To me this is where the Brugal lineup starts to pick up the pace a little bit. It has a light scent of caramel and vanilla. The rum is medium bodied and the palette offers notes of vanilla and sweet molasse with a light burn in the end. It's a doable sipper and a good mixer, but for the same money you can get the el dorado 12 which is in a different league.
