That Boutique-y Rum Company Caroni 23-Year

Oaky nose, smells a bit of green plantains frying in a buttered pan. Well integrated alcohol, rich mouthfeel with a woody dryness that keeps a natural sweetness in check. Notes of mature plantains, dark chocolate, toffee, almond, bright Virginia tobacco (although I have only smelled that, never actually chewed on it…).
Well structured, long aftertaste.

Amazing stuff. Oily, smoky, rich and sweet with caramel, tropical fruits, tobacco, wood, asphalt, pepper, coffee and chocolate.
