Had just a sample of this interesting Agricole from Madeira especially produced for the 1423 Calendar.
From nose, via mouth and palate to the medium long finish it’s smoky and I recognize licorice, dry whisky and hints of vanilla.
Overall an very interesting Agricole, maybe with too much whisky taste.
I believe I must explore more rums from William Hinton.

Duften er tør og sød. En smule frugt, som desværre er fermenteret. Smag af sødme, røg, tobak og cigar. Smager mest af røget Whiskey. Hører derfor ikke til i en romkalender. (21. december 2021 i 1423).

Golden honey yellow in the glass.
Tart and bulky on the nose. Freshly cut grass, ether, smoky whiskey, sweet wine, burnt caramel, wet moss and some more can be detected.
Fresh and unusual on the palate. Strange sweet fruits decorate a delicate caramel cream dessert. Some bitter medicinal herbs are also found on it.
In the finish more like a bitter cough syrup.
A very special rum that certainly does not please everyone but certainly finds its friends. Needs space and time and also more cl to discover this part fully. For the brave and explorers.

If you like your peated whiskies, it is alright. Good even if you do not, as an experience.

Vůně nakyslá, zpocené ponožky, Višněvského balzám, hořké žaludeční byliny, shnilá tráva, snažící se prodrat vanika.
Chuť whisky, hořké žaludeční byliny, vajgl, jíl, hnus!!!
Dochuť hořký jíl, shnilá tráva.
Jeden z nejhorších rumů, co jsem pil.

Think cherry-flavoured Skoal... and that's what you get.

Smells like smoke, first sip like a kissing an ashtray, aftertaste like chewing a cigarette butt up in your palate. Felt like being roasted alive when sipping it! Clearly not a rum for everyone, as my friend wisely hinted, today's blenders nearly don't know what to come up with these days to impress. Maybe a good daily sipper for heavy smokers, haha. But it was fun to try.

It tastes more like a whisky(60%) and less like a rum(40%). Because I like whisky, I enjoyed it, of course. Single malt rum :DD
