This is like a sweet grenade bursting in your mouth. It fizzes and warms and is not at all harsh. Similar to the standard Cut Spiced rum, but there's just more of it there! I don't normally like overproof rums, but this is very good.
Vanilla cinnamon liquorice, wow full of scent. Take a sip and your mouth explodes with flavour. Seasoned rum drinkers will like this.
Cut to the Overproof is my first overproof rum and I thought that it would be extremely harsh due to the high alcohol percentage (151 proof, 75.5%). My prediction though was not right. The smell of this rum is amazing: it is like a winter's day with warm waffles, cloves and vanilla. Your mouth first experiences some burning due to the high alcohol percentage and afterwards you'll experience a burst of vanilla, caramel, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. It quickly disappears in the aftertaste unfortunately. When this rum is slightly diluted the spices are slightly more present, especially in the aftertaste, which lasts a lot longer!
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Got this 5cl sample from the RR Tasting Club.
The aromas is sweet and I recognize orange and citrus.
In mouth and during the medium long finish I recognize butterscotch, cocos, cinnamon and orange, but the sweetness overpowers most of it.
It’s much too sweet for me and I will never taste it again.
