Like the comment before I'm sure they mean the Sherry Cask. Great alone and with mixers. A full flavored captain
This is a limited edition SHERRY cask, but there is no sherry whatsoever. For that alone, I give a failing grade since it doesn't have what it set out to have.
Major molasses, with hints of regular Captain behind. I guess the "sherry cask" simply masked the horrible base that Captain Morgan is.
After spending a week doing high end whisky tasting this rum just seemed to come at just the right time. Lovely aroma. It just feels the room as your glass decants...No it's no Four Roses Single Barrel, but what is? So what does this rum taste like? Awesome. You get the sweet caramel and vanilla notes you expected from the Captain but there is SO much more here. The vanilla is almost muted by the fruity flavors creeping in. No alcohol burn at all and not even the slightest bitter bite in the finish. Don't waste this rum by mixing it. Just put an icecube in the glass and enjoy it. It really is that good.
I like this way better then normal captain but it is no match for others in my cabinet.
I ordered 2 bottles from New Jersey as it is no longer available in Pennsylvania. Drank it straight without ice and found it to be very mild with a hint of cherry aftertaste. Thought it was rather weak in strength (35%) with no burn when swallowed. I think this would get lost if mixed with coke.
... if you could actually taste the sherry.
Despite that, it is a good rum. I enjoy it, even for sipping... but on the rocks.
It's a good rum to drink with coke, taste a bit like cherries. Wonderful mixer
I like the Captain Morgan LE sherry cask. It is smooth and has some nice notes of caramel, vanilla, spice and a great sherry finish. I prefer this slightly over the 1671, but it is a close race.
Got a bottle as it was the last in the store. Was surprised at the additional flavoring, the Sherry cask added a whole new level. One of the best Morgans I have had.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Assuming this is LE sherry cask

Assuming this LE means sherry cask, This was an excellent and highly underrated rum to say the least. For the price I got this at 15.00, this was exceptionally smooth. The aroma was also great. A great straight shooter. I'll have to get more before its gone.
