Had just a sample of this blended rum of pot and column still distillates.
It’s first aged for 3 years in teak barrels, then for 4 years in ex-Bourbon oak barrels and finally finished during one year in former Sherry barrels.
The aroma is quite pleasant, fruity and smoky with hints of vanilla.
In mouth, on the palate and during the medium long finish the aroma can be tasted but it’s also quite sweet and during the finish the Sherry notes show up.
Overall a little bit better than expected, but unfortunately a little bit too sweet for my taste.
Picture: My emptied sample poured in a glass.

Vanilla and burned sugar, slight candid fruit in aroma, sweet start, maybe some nuts. No tail. Quite disapointing.

Beautiful amber in the glass.
Exotic and seductive on the nose. Resins and tannins with medicinal herbs steeped in caramel. The smell of burnt sugar cane fields hovers over everything.
Even more exotic and disorienting on the palate. Like a medicine from the jungle, first bitter, then sour, then sweet, then umami. Rotten fruit with caramel syrup, a cigar with plenty of ash and a spicy curry.
In the finish, the exotic parade slowly passes and what remains is something that reminds me of Marmite.
A very special rum that needs space and time, that you have to listen to and learn the foreign language it speaks. For the intrepid and explorers. 7+

This triple cask with a teak touch is really lovely. You might not even say it's basically agricole.

Vil gerne udforske serien mere.

Dark color. The smell of raisins, buttertoast and caramel is just great. I love it! The taste is sweet and corresponds to the raisin smell. A little bit alcoholic, but all in all very good and exotic. Fits to a dessert. Nice surprise in the 1423 calendar of rum 2021.

Faint aroma and flavour....like some cheap flavoured rum.
