Selection of agricole's in BC Canada is almost nil, so when Rum Nation's Guadaloupe arrived, I threw down. Unfortunately, a disappointment that left my ti punch lacking the punch, grassiness, and funk of the Martinician agricoles and the Karukera offerings.

Its either genius or disaster, but somehow this rum tastes like tequila. I've only tried a handful of agricole, all of which are a metric tonne better than this offering. Usually rum nation is pretty reliable but this rum lacks the deeper and refined flavour of vegetative agricole. Dont get me wrong, this has rum definitely has funk, but its just not palatable to me. I change my mind about it tasting like tequila...if you are missing the ingredients to a pisco sour, this rum is a substitute for the entire cocktail. I'll try to not let this affect my opinion of rum nation which usually has rum of good quality. I guess when youve leftover rum, you have to market it somehow.
