Nose: Muscovado-forward and slightly herbal. Baked graham crackers, wafer cones, light marker pen, and flashes of spearmint gum that fell on soil. Rich but not that layered. Aromas reminiscent of curry spices.

Palate: The palate delivers much of the same flavors as the nose but through a thick and soft body. Muscovado and earthiness at the forefront, followed by vanilla and toffee that bring a distinct bourbon character to it, which then takes over. It's not hard to imagine some people trying this blind and thinking that it tastes like a less sweet yet more steady bourbon.

Finish: Shelled peanuts, touches of cinnamon, and oak. The lower end of medium.
