Sattes glänzendes Bernstein mit Kupferreflektionen im Glas.
In der Nase wird ein riesiger Fächer von Düften geöffnet. Frisch geschlagene Hölzer in Ahornsirup getränkt, mit Marzipan belegt und mit Karamell übergossen. Schicht für Schicht wiederholend, wie ein Tiramisu mit einigen verschiedenen Kräuter obendrauf in einer mit Tabak ausgeschlagener Lederschüssel. Wunderbar ausbalanciert betören die herben, süssen, wilden und gefälligen Düfte.
Am Gaumen einfach nur wow ! So leicht und weich wie selten Rum, alle Aromen nehmen den selben Raum auf der Zunge ein. Ein wahrlich harmonischer Reigen der Aromen, Holz und Karamell verführen frische tropische und auch kandierte Früchte zum Tanz. Kaffee und dunkle Schokolade schmusen schon hinter den Vorhängen.
Im Abgang sanft und befriedigend. Karamell und Holz mit etwas Schokolade und Gewürzen.
Eigentlich ein absolut toller Rum der aber keine Zähne hat, Fassstärke wäre angebracht. Wer die Kohle aufbringen möchte ist sicher gut bedient. Für Geniesser, Liebhaber, Bonzen und Freunde der Freuden.

A huge panoply of scents opens up on the nose. Freshly whipped woods soaked in maple syrup, topped with marzipan and doused with caramel. Repeating layer after layer, like a tiramisu with a few different herbs on top in a tobacco lined leather bowl. Wonderfully balanced, the tart, sweet, wild and pleasing scents beguile.
On the palate just wow ! So light and soft as rarely rum, all the flavors occupy the same space on the tongue. A truly harmonious round dance of flavors, wood and caramel seduce fresh tropical and also candied fruits to dance. Coffee and dark chocolate are already cuddling behind the curtains.
The finish is soft and satisfying. Caramel and wood with some chocolate and spice.
Actually an absolutely great rum that has no teeth though, barrel strength would be appropriate. Who wants to raise the coal is certainly well served. For connoisseurs, lovers, bonzes and friends of pleasures.
