The Rumclub Privat Selection Edition 08 is a rhum from the island Marie Galante from the Bielle Distillerie. The Rhum Agricole was made in column style and was allowed to rest for 8 years. With 54.1% alcohol, it was bottled in cask strength.
In the nose, the rhum is incredibly balanced and harmonizes wonderfully. Candied fruits and caramel make the rhum sweet and floral, grassy notes pair with a fine spice. Oak and vanilla resonate. Not a classic Agricole nose but an absolutely wonderful one. On the palate, the rhum shows toasted wood and roasted tropical fruits. Strong comes a pleasant sweetness, oak, some leather, baking spice and some pepper. At the finish then the Agricole notes. Grass pairs with more intense wood notes and bitter substances and some Bourbon.
A great rhum and easy sipper, but not lacking in complexity. A very accessible agricole with lots to explore. And that in cask strength for less than 80 euros. It just tastes delicious to me. There are probably better ones. But I could drink this Bielle forever. Therefore subjective a full score.

In der Nase ist der Rhum unheimlich ausgeglichen und harmoniert wunderbar. Kandierte Früchte und Karamel machen den Rhum süß und florale, grassige Noten paaren sich mit einer feinen Würze. Eiche und Vanille schwingen mit. Keine klassische Agricole Nase aber dafür eine absolut wunderbare. Am Gaumen zeigt der Rhum getoastetes Holz und geröstete tropische Früchte. Kräftig kommt eike angenehme Süße, Eiche, etwas Leder, Backgewürze und etwas Pfeffer. Zum Abgang dann die Agricole Noten. Gras paart sich mit intensiver werdenen Holznoten und Bitterstoffen und ein wenig Bourbon.
Ein toller Rhum und easy Sipper, der aber nicht an Komplexität vermissen lässt. Ein sehr zugänglicher Agricole, bei dem es viel zu entdecken gibt. Und das in Fassstärke für unter 80Euro. Mir schmeckt er einfach total lecker. Wahrscheinlich gibt es bessere. Aber diesen Bielle könnte ich so austrinken. Daher subjektive volle Punktzahl.
