Nosing
Funkyness jamican that I can smell cloves and spice .. reminds me of a weakened wray and nephew... This would be the Clarendon element in the blend ....
Tasting
Funky pineapple followed by loads of citrus ...
For the price point I am struggling to find a better rum that has a fruity flavour
I had this rum when I was on a restaurant fair and the lady told me all about the Duppy Share.
She told me that Jamaican usually drink their rum white and not dark, skepticall that I was, I had a glass and what an awesome suprise was this! Value for money definitely worth it. I use this in my rum tasting and every time people are suprised that it does not burn, since white rum are known for mixing.
My first white rum and I'm pleasantly surprised. Very fresh, fruity, sweet (as from the fruits) and incredibly easy to drink. Taste especially a lot of raspberry, some mango, peach, passion fruit. Got a little bit of the Jamaican funk going on. Some liquorice in the background. Amazing rum especially at this price. Nice to sip in summer for an easy fresh and fruity rum.
I would have never thought, that a white rum will get scoring of 10/10 from me, but there it is. I've read the description of this spirit, stating that it captures the very best of Jamaica, which sounded like another bullshit marketing. I changed my mind after very first sip. You can taste the fruits very strongly, the flavour is one of a kind. Shots? Perfect. Sipping? Yes, please. Daiquiri? Yummy. THANK YOU, DUPPY SHARE!
A Caribbean rum known for its smoothness and versatility. With subtle notes of tropical fruits and a hint of sweetness. Refreshing and approachable
Had it at Wetherspoon very smooth with Pepsi max would drink again
Really fruity base with a hint of funky (more petroleum than typical Jamaican nail polish remover). Surprisingly good for drinking neat/on ice, but mainly for cocktails. Be warned though - when mixed fruits kinda disappear and petroleum stays there.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Really? It’s white rum which people so often give short shrift however this stuff has really hit a sweet spot and whoever blended it deserves a prize. It’s light and has the tropical fruit nose and palate that you expect from Jamaican rum but the low proof (40%) means it’s not gonna scare off the newbies as I’ve found W&N or rumbar can. It’s very friendly! It’s hard to explain but the pitch is perfect! If you want to make a friend mix 1 part Duppy with 2 parts quality ginger beer and add a big squeeze of lime into a DOF glass stuffed with ice. This just made the Dark and Stormy obsolete for me. I’ve not tried it with coke but…. Hang on… Let’s have one!
Just mixing this takes you to the Caribbean. 30 ml over ice and a quarter of a lime. Stir it and smell the fresh fruit salad with passionfruit and kirsch! Add a couple more cubes and 60ml of coke and…. Enjoy! This rum is Solid. We have cases of Appleton 12 here (which was my all time rum and coke) but now…. I dunno? I am really loving this. It’s substantial, flavoursome refreshing like no aged rum can be and fairly priced. If I was in Jamaica I’d drink like everyone else there but here in Queensland the duppy white is a very good alternative to that fantastic taste of Jamaica which we have all been missing out on for too long. Thanks whoever it is at pinnacle drinks that recognised the hole and filled it with this. 🙏👍
