Diplomatico 2007 13-Year

Vanilla sweeter smoky fruity gentle nose. Fruity (dried fruity, cherry) vanilla caramelly oaky smoky creamy sweeter gentle body... longer vanilla sweetness in aftertaste... so good...

This bottle was signed by Master blender Nelson Hernandez.
It is too precious to be opened. Therefore I come back with my humble thought about how it tastes to me as soon as I find a standard bottle. Looking forward.
By the way, all signed bottles were sold out within one hour .

Rather mild and pleasant honey fruity smell develops into great rum taste yet still remains gentle as one sips this spirit. I can taste vanilla, mild oakiness and raisins combined with some dried fruit (probably wrong, but at one point I even thought it to be dried plum or something). Definitely still on the sweeter side of things, but not really in a bad way. Might even open another one once my current bottle is finished. :)

This is just so very tasty. Not too sweet but very drinkable and very smooth. A whole lot better than Diplomatico Single Vintage 2005.

Dejlig blid og let drikkelig, denne udgave er efter min mening bedre end 2005´eren.

En riktigt god, inte för söt rom. Fruktig i smak och en liten hint vanilj.

I have loved every edition of SVTG Diplomatico that I have tried lightly sweet Uber smooth not heavy oak bourbon notes, more fruit forward cherries plums slight coffee notes, followed by hints of sherry at the end. Always a great rum, hope they keep them coming. Enjoy way more than Ambassador.

Just like its 2005 brother, this one is a great sipper. The alcohol % is 43, a bit higher than other rums and you can feel the difference, so using a decanter for it can be a great idea. The after taste fills your mouth with sweetness , maybe with a hint of caramel. I plan on collecting the boxes going forward with at least one bottle bought per year.

Rum jsem mohl ochutnat na oslavě narozenin, kdy bylo oznámeno očekávaní přírustku do rodiny a hrdý otec otevřel láhev tohoto rumu.
Ve vůni cítím kakao a líh, v chuti je to úplně to samé, v první chvíli cítím kakao, pak ještě jednou kakao po kterém následuje slabý lihový dozvuk.
Celkově jej hodnotím dosti vysoko. Je to dobrý pitelný rum. .
