Admiral Rodney 2009 Officer’s Release Nr2 Irish Whiskey Casks

I am satisfied with the most of Admiral Rodney rums. Including this one.
Nose- a bit stronger alcohol kick than I expected/ it is only 45%/ but pleasant.
Taste- semi-sweet rum base / I like that/ Of course you can feel whisky scent. This combination makes this particular release acceptable for both worlds.

Never been a whiskey fun but I appreciate this rum as reasonably tasty and definitely something different in my explorations. Actually the whiskey oomph is so big I can't really identify anything more in the nose and taste (yet) which is a little shame. This is my second 'Admiral Rodney' rum and so far I've never been disappointed. Needless to say they definitely offer one of the better packages and bottling compared to rums on +/- same price level.
