Kirk and Sweeney Reserva

Cannot find one really positive thing to say and only negative is that the aftertaste is harsh. Completely forgettable rum. Please try to find a mini 50ml bottle and sample it before dropping $35+ on this if you really want to try it. Back to edit after about a week after my first review and had to drop from a 5 to a 3. This rum has no character at all. Nice bottle and perhaps living off of a reputation and name from the past. There is no way you can tell me that they care about what goes in this bottle.

Very convenient and tasty but for the price I would say makes it less of a good deal.

Was brought to house on thanksgiving. Tried it straight but ended up mixing it.

Light coconut and some honey. Clear copper pour. Some oak in the finish. A hint of citrus.

Aroma: Cherry
Flavor: I like this, the barrels impart smoothness and flavor
Aftertaste: Vanilla

Bought this on recommendation from my local shop. Totally serviceable for an old fashioned, but leaves a little burn and flavor is not complex. Not worth the price tag in my opinion. I do love the K&S packaging though.

I guess this replaced the younger bottles of the original such as 12. The taste is artificial. Still an okay rum, but it's lost between sipping and mixing. Too expensive for mixing and not good enough for sipping.

This is just OK, I probably would not buy it again.

Not my preferred blend of flavors, it's a little cloying and i feel that the flavor notes can be a little too sharp and almost artificial.

This is a decent mid-tier rum. I prefer the aged 18 or 23 year though.
