Have had a bottle of this Brut Double Colonne from ReimonenQ in Guadeloupe for a while and bought me a sample recently to check it out before opening the bottle.
This distillate was taken directly from the distillation column at ABV 76% and loaded aboard a sailboat in glass bottles so that the rum does not evolve anymore. 600 bottles were produced.
The nose is intense, fruity, vegetal, floral, fresh and a little alcoholic.
At the palate it’s intense, vegetal and balanced with hints of citrus, nuts and licorice.
The long finish is round with some sweetness and the taste of nuts and licorice increases.
Overall a very interesting and strong Agricole with some of the typical ReimonenQ notes.
