Flor de Caña Nicaraguan 25 year rum has an exquisite taste. It is smooth with delicate flavor.
its so fine and well balanced wood caramel its just amazing
If you looking for a good quality rum, this is it FDC 25.. Absolutely superb.
Flor de Cana 12 got me into good aged rums and led me to this 25 year, which is my opinion of perfection. I am still new to the descriptions, so I'll do my best. It is a smooth rich rum. If full bodied is appropriate, that is what it is. When you pour it, you can tell it has more body to it than most. I taste the hints of charred oak burboun barrels. It sips like a fine burboun but sweeter and smoother with no aftertaste. I like it over a few cubes of ice. For me there is no equal to this rum.
This one is somewhat hard to find in my area. Having had rotten luck with their 18 Year, I had been reluctant to splurge on this one until a few months ago. I would imagine that a lot of the cost goes into the elegant gift box.
Well, after the first sip, it is easy to declare it as the finest rum that one has ever tried. Then as more air gets into the bottle, that initial WOW-factor diminishes, but without degrading the rum. I will buy it again when I am in a splurging mood and will take this one any day over any Foursquare ECS rum. Those have become nearly impossible to find. At least this one pops up every now and then on the shelves.
Absolutely wonderful. Fantastic mix of sweetness, spices, some smoke, and minimal burn. This is a bit on the pricey side but it’s worth it. Nothing but high marks here.
Smooth and clean . No sweet at all. Let it sit and breathe for a short wile.
Less sweet than Zacapa XO
Sugar: estimated at 15 GPL. I found this rum to be sweeter than any of the other rums in the Flor de Cana lineup and I like my rums in the 15 to 20 GPL range.
It's my opinion that this is the All Star rum in the Flor de Cana lineup. Can't help myself, it's World Series time of the year. You will find this to be a perfectly balanced mixture of oak, vanilla, caramel, with a hint of smoke, spice and maybe a touch of leather in your glass. Smooth on entry then an explosion of the flavors mentioned. All of this is followed by a nice long warm aftertaste. Note: Let this breath a bit before sipping. This rum is in the same league as the Abuelo Centura and not surprisingly it's the same price. Save this rum for special occasions or it will be gone before you know it.

I believe my pallet is not that sophisticated but even I can taste this is amazing. I typically like darker Caribbean rums but this is heaven
