Nose: Caramel, sweet with some ethanol notes.

Taste: Oak, caramel, slightly sweet with a peppery finish. Smooth mouthfeel with a slight oiliness.

Finish: Pepper, short with a slightly bitter wood/oak taste that lingers at the end.

I found this to be a more harsh version of El dorado 12 yr. Same flavors and smell but not nearly as smooth. Good, but for the price I'll get El Dorado 12 yr.

Mild brown sugar on the nose and palate. Medium viscosity with a touch of sweetness.

Color - Deep gold
Nose - fruity and sweet, with a little banana and butter, hint of orange peel
Taste - Smooth balanced alcohol from the very beginning, orange peel and butterscotch, perhaps a little banana and a little pepper. Longer smooth finish making it nice to sip. The Pepper in it makes it a good pair for cola and lime, but not for a maitai or pina colada. The website adds complex flavors such as tamarind and allspice. It is a reasonable assessment. I passed over these flavors attributing them to the alcohol, which is very present. They also claim cinnamon. I get that as a lingering part of the finish. It is more fruity than earthy.

Dark look and feel. Smells of oak and bites earth. Dark fruit permeates from the glass. Tastes dry and short to mid finish. Notes of used oak, molasses, Dark fruit. Great with most foods and medium to mild cigars.

Smoother and better flavor. Better overall profile, deeper color, easier sipping.

I am not really sure why, it just didn't do it for me. There just wasn't anything distinctive. A nice little bit of spice on the end.
