Martinique | Agricole | 43.0% ABV
Saint James VSOP 4-Year is a premium blend of rums aged for a minimum of four years in oak barrels, sourced from the finest sugar cane distilleries in Martinique. This medium-bodied and well-balanced rum has a deep amber color and an inviting aroma of vanilla, banana, and nutmeg with a touch of oak. On the palate, it delivers a complex and smooth profile with notes of toasted oak, caramel, and spiced fruits, leading to a long and pleasant finish. With its refined taste and exceptional quality, Saint James VSOP 4-Year is a perfect choice for those who appreciate a classic Caribbean rum.

En kryddig lättdrucken rom. Passar bra nu när julen närmar sig med kryddor och fruktighet.
Ce rhum sans prétention crée la surprise, car très sympathique pour sa catégorie.
Golden colour. Aroma of wood, nutmeg and alcohol. The initial taste is harsh and burns, but after it's sat in ice for a while it settles down to a slightly sweet, oak and spice taste finishing dry. Might appeal to a whisky or brandy drinker. I'm not a big fan of agricoles.
I had different rums at the 10. German Rum Festival in Berlin yesterday. This is clearly a quality rum agricole with some attitude. Very dry compared to what a had before. Unfortunately i did not like the special character of this (yet). Maybe it is a taste i did not aquire yet. Anyway it is s a good product. But nothing im dreaming of when i sleep.

Rum for a reasonable price 6 out of 10
Helt ok, inte något favorit hos mig men ändå en helt ok rom.
Den är lagrad på en rökig whiskytunna så romen har fått sin karaktär därifrån.
