Thanks Flor de Cana for the eliksiir -

Nez fin avec des arômes de caramel et de vanille. En bouche, on remarque la présence de chêne, de chocolat et de noisette. Persistance moyenne.

Well, the rum has all the nowadays trendy and important (for some people) slogans: carbon neutral, eco friendly, recycled material, etc. Due to these I had prejudices, because it is the same when you see the word "premium" on a beer. But the rum was a pleasant surprise. As it is from Nicaragua I was expecting a sweet rum, but it is quite dry. On the nose I feel nutmeg, in the taste caramel, vanilla and oak. Tasty. Now I can save the planet and get drunk the same time.

Like all other Flor de Cana products, the 15yo is deliciously dry, with amazing notes of oak, vanilla bean, and coffee. It's slightly hot, but in the best way possible, bathing the palate. It's rich colour exemplifies it's profile. Definitely worth the pick up considering how affordable it is!

Très intéressant concept bio, ressemble beaucoup au 12 ans. Rhum de dégustation ou en ti punch.

A little boozy on the aftertaste but still mellom and very vanilla from the oak. I enjoyed it!

FdC15 is exactly what I expected, dry and flavourful. FdC15 is better than FdC12, which is not as complex and leaves a burn. FdC18 is slightly smooter than this one but somehow I prefer the 15. Nice!

Thought Id try the new 15 yr marketed towards the environmental crowd. Not surprisingly it tastes between the twelve year and 18 year. Has that characteristic acetone and vegetative smell but still has a good flavour expected of the flor de canas. Besides the added marketing, not sure this is worth the additional price. Just buy the 18 or 21 year. Also, is it more environmentally friendly to add a needless cardboard package to the outside of the bottle? Just sayin'.

Another Flor de Cana to put in my cabinet. I haven’t been disapointed yet. Might not buy it again but I will enjoy the bottle.
