Full mouth feel, with body on the tongue.
Nuts, fruits and brown sugar. There’s some oak but a strong dose of cola will reign supreme. Solid and clean. No weird tastes. Pure cane goodness.

Aroma: Oproti 12 yo verzi výrazně bohatší aroma, stále však svým způsobem jemné a uhlazené. Cedr, trocha kokosu, med, mléčná čokoláda, v závěru badyánová větrovost. Nic brutálního, krásně zakulacená vůně. (88 b)
Chuť: Překvapil výraznou suchostí, z vůně jsem nabyl dojmu, že by mohl být nasládlý. Není. Kakao, čokoláda, anýz, exotická dřevitost, cedr (ten mívám v poznámkách u Panamy často). (87 b)

Shrnutí: Přímo srovnáván s dvanáctiletou verzí. Osmnáctka je výrazně lepší, než dvanáctka, ale také přiměřeně dražší.

At first this one is strong. Wooden, smokey all kind of what you expect of an old solid rum. If you like and sweet and easy this is not the right one. If you like it a bit layed down with a wooden attidude this one will get you. Experienced but also kind of smooth.

Light amber in color. With big ice not so much to nose, maybe some fruit. On palate comes some nice bitters, dry fruits, dry raisins, some nuts with dryish wibes. Taste lingers quite long time, warn alcohol taste. I did not like without ice, but with ice, brilliant!

It has zero bite, tastes like it was washed up and left in the sun on the beach while still in the barrel. And then baby Groot had peat moss growing on him as a teenager and found the barrel and took a swim in the barrel and immediately called the locals over to come suck the rum out of his little makeshift jacuzzi to bottle it up

It tastes like something you would find in a dirty glass bottle under the sand that has to have been shared with people that had found it under the sand before you as well.

This one is softer, more delicate than other Malecon offerings. Plenty of wood, hints of vanilla and chocolate. Nice sipper. Nice balance. Smooth finish.
