Rumy z tejto edície sa mi veľmi vizuálne páčia! Dizajn je pre mňa určite veľké plus. Vôňa je tiež super! Karamel, prezreté ovocie, trochu káva a niečo technické! Na jazyku pôsobil olejovito.
Easy drinking rum.
Little peppery at the arrival

The Plantation One Time Limited Trinidad was distilled in 2009 and was allowed to store tropical in bourbon barrels for 11 years and then another 1 year in France in Cognac barrels from Ferrand. The rum produced in 4 column style was bottled without sugar with 51.8% alcohol. On the bottle all the information is available. You can see it in the pic.
In the nose, the rum shows itself traditionally. Fruity with a portion of vanilla, oak, a little mint and a hint of spice. All this should be a bit more direct. On the palate, the rum is initially very fruity with orange and a pleasant sweetness. Some wood is added and then pleasant but dominant tobacco notes with some smoke set in, which characterize the spicy finish. Wood notes remain and are perceptible for medium lengths.
For 49Euro in a local shop at my home this is a lot of rum. So far I found the One Time Limited series not that good. This rum now has a little more character. The tobacco notes are wonderfully integrated and enhance the rum. TDL makes great rums and Trinidad remains a mecca for good rums.

This is like drinking whiskey. Just not my thing. The consistency resembles a glue-like feeling.
The alcohol and taste are very strong with a long burn

This is the rum for me. It’s rich and smoky which I’ve never seen on a rum and it begs for a cigar and some bbq.

Thank You so much Rhum Attitude for providing a proper rum tasting during the 16th month of global lockdown. Tasting continued onwards with Plantation Trinidad 2009. Nice and unique bottle and label design. Light golden color. Strong glue mixed with pure alcohol and mild woodiness to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Extremely dry ending followed with a glue blast to your face.
