A. H. Riise Non Plus Ultra Very Rare

This is one of those ocassions where I really miss rum labeling: it is a liquid version of a Belgium waffle with dulce de leche and caramel on top. Even one glass of this liquid is hard to drink due to all the sugar it has and its flavor is very close to taste like cough syrup.

The only good aspect is the bottle. Definitely a NO-BUY for me anymore.

Really smooth rum thats easy to drink. Has a strange vanilla ending, with unique tones I cannot compare to any other rum. Anyways, as long as I enjoyed it, I expected something more depending on the price.

I dont know what it is but it is not Rum.
But perhaps it can be used in baking or other dessert making.

Balance nose with hazelnut finish! Cheers to that!

Too sweet for my taste but still solid. Nose and taste is of hazlenut, surprised its 42% abv given how smooth and sweet it is. Add +2 if you like em sweet

Nejlevnější Non plus ultra od Riiseho. Klasická sladká lehce ořechová chuť Riiseho, velmi jemný, krásná láhev. Poměr cena/výkon už slabší, základní Riise Royal Danish Navy je chuťově velmi podobný, ale výrazně levnější.

not too sweet but i expected a lttle bit more of it. Riise makes better rums which are not named very ultra rare. i must say the bottle is beautifuull and reuseable with other rums

I was very curious to see if this one would be as tasty as the Black edition and I must say it certainly comes close. Lovely smell and the first sip was great too. Only I find myself thinking all the time what does this taste like? It's on the tip of my tongue. Maybe one day I'll find out. So keep trying. So I'll just take one more. I think it's worth a 9. Cheers!

If you like the style of Zacapa 23, this might also be a great rum to taste.

Root spices, orange peel, vanilla, caramel. Good but doesn't hit you with anything special.
