A strong aroma. Warm to taste, nice caramel finish and a bit of vanilla taste. Good for price.
Nice dark Jamaican rum. Went well with a Liga Privada No.9 cigar. Decent finish, aroma was also okay. Recommended
Pretty much a home run for the price. Nose is reasonably light on the funk scale (but no doubt it is Jamaican), accompanied by a fruit sweetness, oak, alcohol, hints of molasses and maple.
Even less funk on the palate, but it's there. It's nice and spicy up front, peppery, lightly sweet evolving into a well-balanced woody presentation accented by mild earth, citrus, pineapple, with solid oak, molasses, and a bit of clove in the medium finish. I am surprised at how nicely layered and reasonably complex this is given the relative youthfulness. Semi-dry, and not much heat for the ABV; goes down easily, and opens up nicely with time in the glass.
Worthy of experimentation (no pun intended) in mixed cocktails, great in the Jet Pilot - but also serves nicely as a sipper. For the price, I've got no complaints. Definitely recommend it.
Na nose mírné estery se dřevem a výrazným karamelem z flambovaným banánem. Chuť to kopíruje. Na mně je to málo vybalancované, drinky s toho rumu famózní.
Nice color, good taste, and nice finish, good, 7/10
Jamaican rum made primarily for mixing in cocktails. I tested it alone. It is a blend of low ester rums that has been aged for 3 years in oak barrels into which is then blended an unaged rum with a higher ester content. The esters create a technical-fruity proportion in the flavour typical of Jamaican rums. The resulting blend is bottled at 54.5% ABV.
Bottle: High, liquor type
Colour: Dark mahogany. Due to the age of the rum, I believe it has been coloured with caramel.
Aroma: Strong fruity-ester. There is a strong fruity fermentation aroma, but it is a very pleasant. Must try. In the aroma you can detect caramel, banana, pineapple, apricot ferment, flowers.
Mouth: Very dry, a little bit bitter and, due to the alcohol content, very burning on the palate and on the tongue. I recognised unripe fruit (bananas, pineapple, grapes) in the taste. The certain bitterness I felt at the beginning is slowly fading.
Finish: Long.
Summary: There is a strength that makes itself known. Although it's mainly intended for cocktails (Cuba libre, Tiki), it's quite drinkable on its own.
Overall rating: 8.5/10
Duft af banan, fermenteret frugt. En lille smule ananas. Smagen er også fermenteret frugt. Meget alkohol. Worthy Parks produkter er for mig noget af det værste. Det er alt for fermenteret, og deres Rum-Bar Overproof er det værste, der findes, og denne er kun marginalt bedre. (18. december 2021 i 1423.

A navy-proof rum that mixes the typical navy-style molasses/burnt caramel flavor with that Jamaican fruitiness/funk. Not my thing as a sipper, but works extremely well in cocktails!
