This cask strength Rum comes with 54.5% Vol.
Colour is deep dark mahogany. They say it has not been coloured.
When I opened it for the first time I did not find the smell very pleasant. Glue, fermented paint and ethanol came to mind. After a while in the glass it got better but not really fine.
Now, after a few month the smell has changed very much to the positive, wich is probably due to the fact that the bottle has become emptier and thus contains more air.
Now the nose captivates with overripe plums and garden lovage aka Maggi.
Very intensive and heavy but not bad at all.
In the mouth you have a very fruity sweetness, also here overripe plums and of course nectarines. Some say that there is Vanilla but I haven't noticed.
The finish is long with some wood notes and dried fruits.
With 3 years this is a real youngster but a good example of how good the quality of a Rum can be when the circumstances are right as you would expect at Worthy Park.

Blend of different marques including unaged and aged with caramel for color and flavor.
Nose: Cherry, very toffee heavy with toasted butter, ripe banana, some char also and of course esters but not so heavily as S&C
Palate: Toffee, toasted butter, char, some salt too, cherry, overripe banana with little heat and some burnt caramel bitterness too, light oak with some tannins and vanillin. Bit of buttery acidic esters, semi sweet but very pleasantly so.
Finish: Goes down easily, leaves sweetness and some caramel, butter and char.
Super decent mixing rum, not maybe a direct competitor to smith&cross which is more estery and fruity, this has more of a Guyanese influence and is bit on the middle between say Pussers gunpowder and S&C so if that is of any interest to you then this is a clear winner on all books.
Had just a sample of this Pot Still rum, a blend of rums that’s consisting of unaged rum as well as rum aged for up to 3 years.
The aroma is fresh and I recognize fruity flavours.
In mouth, palate and during the quite long finish I detect tropical fruits, ginger and oak.
Overall it’s a great high esters, funky and well balanced rum with heavy flavors.
Picture: My emptied sample poured in a glass.
I like this dark and full of sweet taste rum for creating Dark and Stormy's. Much better drinks then other brands

Not bad at all for that young rum. Raisin flavour does not bother. Very rich and dark without sweetness. And of course, pleasantly powerful.
