Clement 2015 Single Cask Canne Bleue 4-Year

Al naso è legnoso con frutti canditi e rossi acerbi, tabacco, spezie e pochi agrumi. C'è anche una nota corposa carbonizzata/fumosa molto interessante.
Al palato resta legnoso e speziato con la lieve nota carbonizzata e tostata da contorno, nonostante questo è fresco e vivace con sentori floreali e di frutti rossi maturi.
Nel complesso è delicato e aromatico, ma senza troppa profondità e carattere. Lascia un retrogusto secco-legnoso in bocca.

This rum is distilled from a single variety called blue cane, renowned for its aromatic potential and high sugar concentration. It matured for 4 years and 5 months in tropical Martinique. Fresh orange scent with tropical fruits and vanilla dominates the nosing. Palate is complex, soft and full-bodied with a wonderfully balanced fruit sweetness that carries a touch of vanilla and Caribbean fruits. Finish is creamy with a subtle sweetness. This rhum would have gotten a better rating if the finish had been longer.
