Bought a bottle of this Agricole Blanc during my drive down to Spain.
The nose is quite weak and is dominated by fruits.
In mouth and palate as well as during the rather long finish it’s extremely fruity, but it’s also floral and I recognize of course grass and the sweetness of the sugar cane. In the end I also recognize hints of nuts.
Overall a great Agricole Blanc. The only thing that holds a higher score back is the rather weak aroma.
Picture: My opened bottle and a poured glass out at the balcony down in Nerja, Spain.
In my opinion, it is the one of the best rum to make macerations with. With Damoiseau, Clement or Père Labat.
Good in any other usage : Ti punch or ponch.
In my opinion one of the best in Guadeloupe (longetau domoiseau).
In comparison to the Others it has
more Gras/ground notes (in a good way)
The Others have a more fruity Taste (but that also gives the Drinks a more alcoholic burn/Taste)
The Bologne give the fruity ti Punch a more complex Taste
Visited the Bologne Distillery while vacationing in Guadeloupe. Very nice and comprehensive tasting being offered at the distillery. Rhum Blanc 50% was priced at EUR 7 per bottle. Very basic bottle and label design. Sweet Rhum Agricole flavors complemented with tropical fruits and pure alcohol to your nose and palate. Strong burn at the end. Rhum Agricole lovers can add 2 points. This is a mixer rum by all counts.
You'll find this icon everywhere, from the Pole Caribes airport exit road (where a large sculpture of a bottle greets you) to your rental. It is a solid, unchallenging introduction to rhum agricole for those who have not yet experienced this style.
This Basse Terre mainstay has the classic vegetal cane flavor and "funk", is sweet enough and not dry on the palate. It is fine as a mixer for your first ti' punch or other cocktail, but alone, is not so special or unique as a rhum agricole.

bien parfumé - well flavored 7 out of 10
Bien parfumé un plaisir a découvrir en pinacolada ou banana daikiri et pourquoi pas en ti'punch !
