Absolutely nothing but a mixer. Cheap inexpensive decent flavored mixer.

I don't think this rum is that bad.
Granted,it's not high end but it is superior to the other cheap rums(that cost more) & does just fine as a mixer.Just dandy for fruit juice & cola drinks & not too nasty straight . A little harsh
going down straight but there's a lot worse!

Would I drink it straight?

No. That's very obviously not what it's for. But as a mixer, I actually like it better than Captain Morgan, quite frankly. It's perfect for making a good frozen daiquiri with, and that's what I wanted.

Enjoyed a bottle of Castillo Silver Rum while vacationing in Las Vegas. Basic and cheap looking bottle and label design. Pure alcohol to the nose and palate. Strong burn at the end. Mix this up with your favorite soda since this is not a neat sipper rum.

This light Puerto Rican rum wasnt by far the best but wasn't horrible compared to other light rums i have had in the past.and the price was right we purchased 3 cases for a wedding to make a simple rum punch drink for the masses.
