HSE 2013 Whisky Rozelieures Cask Finish 6-Year

Have had this bottle for a while and yesterday afternoon it was time to taste it.
After more than 5 years of ageing in oak barrels it has been finished for between 8 and 12 months in barrels previously used for the famous French whisky Rozelieures.
In nose and palate the whisky notes totally dominates and first during the medium long finish it’s getting more like rum and you can detect vanilla, caramel, toffee and some sweetness.
Overall I must say that the whisky notes dominates too much. It could be a good start in the world of Agricole if you’re a whisky lover.

Sudy R1801 - R1803

Rum zrál 6 let v dubových sudech a poté ještě 8 - 12 měsíců v sudech po francouzské single malt whisky Rozelieures.
Vyrobeno bylo 4100 lahví.

Aroma: Spousta květin, med, cukrový sirup a dřevitost.
Chuť: Nasládlá, sirupová, stopově dřevitá. Velmi jemná.
Dozvuk: Lehce kořeněný, stopa vanilky. Dřevitý a velmi hořký.
Sladkost: 0/3
Ochutnán vzorek
Pohodový, jemný agricole. V porovnání s HSE Highland 2005 lehce zaostává v přílišné hořkosti v dozvuku.
