Note: I'm a sipper. My opinion is based on sipping characteristics.

I can't even begin to describe just how unprepared this got me! Exceptional stuff! Exceptional! Didn't expect that for sure. So complex, it's amazing. I don't know how it's even possible for a rum aged "up to 3 years" to look and feel as a 15- year old and frankly I don't care. Absolutely astounding. And at that price range, there is nothing, I repeat nothing that comes even close. It totally decimated my other surprise and ever since go-to all-rounder Flor de Caña Gran Reserva 7-Year.

81 Alegro. Oaky spicy - reminds me some American oak cask scotch. That scotch hasn't brought a pleasure for me, but here is the rum - cane juice based - the oak is magnificent in here, way more tasty.
Ethanol some how pronounced, it's ok for me, even more - I would need 49° of it.
92 It's surprising how well the core of something Dominican is pronounced in Pinta compared to Allegro. Is it's theirs soil?
Pinta is just more fruity and a bit more sweet, smoother. Some how more complex.
Week before I had their Nina and they are very comparable, hard to find a difference.
73 Then there's Bayou. Also, I guess, the agricole rum. This one is from Mississippi river - quite odd ). Watery and a bit less natural compared to others. Little spirit burn at palate and aftertaste - pretending it's 43°. The taste is quite entertaining. Is it's sweetness due to Demerara sugar!? On par with Allegro for oak notes, spicyness. But unfortunately ethanol is not quite ok.

US made rum?! I have to admit I had some prejudices, but they all vanished once I opened the bottle. A smooth one, good as a sipper, but could be used as a mixer. A bit sweet for my taste, but it has complexity.
One of the top tier rums in its price range, that's why I give ot 8/10 instead of 7.

Like a few of the other reviewers, I was not expecting too much from this rum. Was able to taste it at a friends. Was decent over ice and then we made a few cocktails with it as well. Was good in both and I would pick up a bottle if I get the chance.

I enjoyed drinking this rum but it didn’t surprised me. Other Bayou rums I’ve tasted are much more interesting. But this rum is definitely perfect for cocktails. But I wouldn’t consider it first of all as the rum for pure drinking.

Rank 7 is labelled as "recommendable to most". I could not agree more (yet I gave 8 :) ). This is quite cheap one - here you can get Kraken Black or Havana 7yo for similar price. And this one is (for me, obviously) much "jack of all trades". Easily sippable, good with Coke too. Comparing to its more expensive brother (Bayou Single Barrell) it is less dry, less complex, but out of 5 people drinking together literally everybody agreed, that it is a good, decent, safe choice. So, if you want to upgrade from the usual cheap market rum, still with a decent price range, and you are not into spiced drinks - this one is for you!

Начальные линейки рома данной марки хороши. Осталось попробовать их вершину - марди гра!

Spicy, bit of a kick, solid burn. Smells fantastic, probably slightly better than the taste. Overall a good rum and great value for money.

Unlike others, I had higher hopes after reading the comments. Not dry and rather not sweet too. I like the smell.
