Nice dark golden brown color in the glass, smooth slightly butterscotch scent on the nose with little alcohol burn. First sip mildly sweet exploding into an intense full throttle experience that stays with you. Shortly after swallow an astringent taste somewhat reminiscent of Jamaican Hogo. I’m not in love with this rum, will put it away and try again another day.
