Had a tasting of the “Vieux 3-years” & the “Special Réserve 6-years” with my son. We both thinks that they both are great.
None of them are produced anymore, so they will disappear from the market in a short while.
The 3yo is really great for being just 3yo and are the precursor of the “Premiere Cuvée 3-years”.
After warmed up it’s a little bit sticky, but after less than a minute the aroma is getting quite pleasant.
The same goes for the palate and the finish which is medium long.
If you let it breathe a while it’s getting very smooth.
It’s possible to recognize fruits, spices and of course licorice and some sweetness as I have found in all Rhum from Reimonenq so far.
The difference between the two is that the 3yo is a little bit smoother than the 6yo, but the 6yo has deeper and more powerful taste.
Pictures: My opened bottle together with the 6yo & My Reimonenq shelf.
Light weight but full body flavor with tobacco notes and a nice variety of spices. Perfect for ’Ti Punch on a beach in Guadeloupe. Not for the casual sipper who thinks the French spell Rhum wrong.

Suprisingly smooth for agricole 7 out of 10
Agricole isn't really my thing that's why this one came as a surprise. Quite smooth and more body that i would expect of a 3 year old.
